Mandee~ if you get earplugs, get the type that look like little marshmallows. You compress them and then put them in your ears and they expand inside your ear and are much better than the ones that (usually are colored) and are a different type of foam and are tapered at one end. I have the same problem; if I fall asleep first, it doesn't bother me, but if I wake up and hear my husband even breathing too loud, I can't get back to sleep and stay awake for hours. I've used all different types of earplugs and these are the best! Sweet dreams!
