Both CKC and APRI are "alternative" registries that were formed when the AKC toughened their rules and started requiring DNA to prove that dogs they registered were purebred. Both are popular registries for backyard breeders and puppy mills. All they require for supposed proof of a dog being purebred is a photograph and someone (can be a friend or relative) stating that the dog is purebred.
Both are considered "paper" registries because that's all you get for your money. I wouldn't waste my money if I were you. |
