It must be that age..my dughter was having problems too at school, but before they came to blows the other girl moved away. My husband decided to put her in a Karate class. He swore it was just to make her realize that it was ok to defend yourself. (She quit..."it just isn't right to hurt people") She still won't stick up for herself and I don't know what to do for her. She says she feels sorry for people like that, and fighting with them only makes them feel worse. I know she's right, but she needs to learn to do something about it.
I'm glad your daughter stuck up for herself. That always seems to boost their self confidence.
