When I got abby the breeder said the dewclaws were removed and they were on the back, but abby has them on the front also and they didn't remove them. I sure wished they did. Trying to remember to cut the nail etc.... is such a pain. I will have abby's puppies done and if they have them on the front and back they both will be removed. When I went to the vet they told me that dogs only had them on the back, and they were the only ones they remove, which is funny because abby has them on the front and so did my corgis. go figure
