Difficult to Leave Our Little Guy In response to your question: My husband and I take our little Remi everywhere we go. If we plan a weekend away we investigate dog friendly hotels way in advance. We are AAA members and I would suggest that you call and ask for the Pet Friendly Hotels book they offer to members for free. It lists hotels all over the USA.
Remi has been to Weddings, Surprise Birthdays, Christenings, and Funerals. We have a comfortable doggie pocketbook and also a traveling doggie suitcase on wheels that looks like a airline onboard carryall. Most of the time no one knows he is in the room. We always ask the hosts permission beforehand, of course. Because we have been doing this since he is four months old, we are fortunate that he "never says a word" when he is in his carriers.
For those occasions when he absolutely cannot come along we leave him with his breeder. This is our first choice as we do not have anyone that can come in and stay at the house. If it is for one overnight we leave him at the vet's office only. We keep these at an absolute minimum!
