when are you getting the puppy? 5 weeks is very young. potty training is difficult. many people if they are very persistant can get it done by around 7 or 8 months. some pets take longer. their temperment is wonderful. they are very loving caring dogs. they constantly want to be with you. (it is ok if you work they can be home during the day) you should use a crate small enough for her to stand up turn around and lie down in. most won't potty in thier sleeping space, as long as it isn't too big. she should get along fine with your springer. my yorkie bonded perfectly with my choc. lab mix and he is 7 too. in fact right now they are rolling around on the floor. i hope that helps!! good luck, new babies are a lot of fun!!!!!
