Hi and welcome to YT! I too have been wanting a Yorkie for some time.
and breeders are extremely expensive and dishonest. even on the inside purchasing from a well know person is costly. However, I have been doing research and found a great group of people who rescuses Yorkies. They are United Yorkie Rescue. Great dedicated people who "care". They have foster Parents all over. I too live in Ny State, I found my baby in Maryland. I was that determined to have a fur baby of my own. so, I looked through their website, saw a furbaby, filled out an application on line, submitted. My sister & I drove to Maryland and back in one day. He is the cutest thing! such a sweetheart! here is their website.
