I took my Bitsy's pups earlier this week to have the tails docked and dew claws removed... her little girl was only 2.2 ounces at the time... I left it up to my vet as whether or not to do the docking/dew claws. He did it and just made sure she wasn't bleeding (actually she didn't bleed much and she had dew claws on all four of her paws).
She is one week old today and 2.5 ounces! She is doing fine.
I think the procedure stressed out all your pups... or the mom.... If I were you, I would have gone back to the vet with the pups(s) on day one...
