I have heard from other yorkie mums whom have lived with both males and females...that males are more protective and are always following (usually the adult female) around the house. Even if you just go to the bathroom they want to follow you to make sure you are okay. they will always sleep with one eye open (not literally  ) to make sure they know where you are at all times. Whereas females don't follow when they don't want to, their girls! Females are more cuddley but I don't agree with that. Anyways, this is what I have heard and soon you may know the differences too. Also every dog has its own personality and there is ALWAYS an exception to the rule. good luck..let us know what you decide.

How true Mickey never leaves my side 24/7 and he is very protective of me, he is my little Shadow. He is not a lap babie but is like hooked to the hip. lol He stays very close and gives kisses lots. Minnie is my Lap babie but theres a difference I can get up and walk out of the room with her still sleeping. Mickey hes awake and right at my heels.
