I use tiny rubber bands like you get from the orthodontist for braces. I make Lacy lay down in my lap with her head facing away from me. I comb the section of hair back and hold it in a ponytail. I then wrap the tiny rubber band around it like three times. Make sure you get the band wrapped tight enough so it doesn't come out too easily, but make sure the hair isn't pulled too tight.
