I'm not so good at that either.
I comb her hair, hold up the section that i want, then put a cloth type scrunchy thing around it. Three times!! That's the hard part. I have to make sure it's not too tight where it pulls her eyes up (like Eva Gabor) Hahaha! Good luck!
