That article is funny! I usually ask before we go anywhere if Max is welcome ...if he's not, then a lot of times, we'll opt not to go. Not b/c we are upset with the place or the people, just b/c we don't want to leave Max alone or be away from him.
But it made me laugh b/c we're going to my mom's for Christmas and she adores Max like he was one of her own grandchildren; but we're having dinner at my sister's mother in law's house, so I called my mom to ask if it was ok with the MIL that Max was coming. My mom told me "WEll of COURSE it's ok with her; Max is no trouble to anyone"
...but she said she'd call "just to be polite and proper"
