For the knee surgery, my vet quoted me $2,000+. I'd just check on it and see if it gives him problems. If it gets worse as he ages, then I'd look into surgery. But definately get a second opinion first if you're considering surgery. |
The orthopedic surgeon I went to see, says there is a window of when this surgery can be done, I believe he said it has to be done once the bones stop growing which is 10 - 11 months of age.
From what I have read if left untreated, within 5 years the pup will have other ailments compounded to the lp.
Please look into an orthopedic surgeon, board certified preferably.
