I understand where you are coming from since you have yorkies and a large dog. My yorkie had a best friend that was a great dane but I had seen that dane interact with many dogs before I trusted play in the park. I think I would have understood more if she would have come on like you but instead she tried to deceive people and has no plan but just to get another. I feel a rescue who is already going into a second home should not go into a home without funds for good care and that is just my opinion but I'm sure if the rescue dog could talk it would agree with me.
Look at it from the side of the breeder and I am not one but can understand their thoughts. If you loved and took care of a litter of pups to 12 weeks would you want one of your babes to go into a home where there lab had just killed their yorkie....I would venture a guess that you would never consider it. I understand it must have been a horrible situation for them, but what I don't understand is why they would want to do it again. Larger dog yes but I mean with a toy dog. I know you mentioned try for a 10 lb dog. Do you know how small that is?? Since we talk in terms of 4 and 5 lb dogs, I guess we get to thinking 10 is large. I commend you for your post, it's just I don't agree with you. Joan |
