My vet offers a puppy/kitten plan that takes care of all shots, fecals, and unlimited vet visits for the first year of life. It does not cover spay/neuter or meds. When I priced out the pet insurance, I found that for preventative care my vet offers a better deal, especially for the first year. I did purchase it for those "just in case" things. Fortunately I did because Gracie has LP. I just submitted my first claim. I will see how it goes. If the percentages paid don't equate to the premiums paid then I doubt I will renew.
