I am pretty new to this winter weather with my yorkie puppy, but it's been very cold here (from 0-20) for a few weeks. I just keep the house warm enough and put a fleece coat on sully when we go out. Got booties too, but they haven't worked so far!
I only stay out about 5 minutes at a time, and he's been fine with it so far.
