I started home grooming as well because I worried about them leaving them on a lead. When I first started grooming lulu myself I had to use her leash as a lead but I was very careful about how tight it was and not leaving her unattended. The collar is fine to hang some thing cute or as a part of dress up but not good to walk them with. I have seen in the neighborhood a few people walking yorkies on collars and it amazes me.
