I wouldn't know what to do if I had a male. With a female, the benefits of spaying outweigh the risks. I can't honestly say that with a male. If marking is an issue, neutering could help but just look at health benefits and risks. It is possible that he would have to be neutered later in life if he develops testicular cancer (does not happen often) or benign lumps (happens often) but you might be surprised if you Google what other diseases he could get if he is neutered. It is a tough call and I think you should talk to your vet about it.
