My Meka is a puppy pad girl... We trained her on em' since we got her at 9 wks and shes done great. Many accidents but she 8 mo's now and almost 100% pad trained. I never had a problem with her shredding them though, so I dont have much advise on that. There is the "bitter apple" sprays that keeps em from biting/chewing on things - maybe putting that on the outer part of the pad
not to sure though. Then they have the spray that you put on the pad to help them "know where to go" (which I use) and thats helped. Going to the bathroom is kinda natural, so I think she'll be fine in the future when you remove her from her pen. Potty training takes lots of patience and persistance so get ready. Just be sure to take her to the pad after she drinks and 30 min or so after she eats and of course make sure to praise her....and you should be fine
