Well, Kacee heads right out into the dark. I have flood lights on the patio on, but I seldom turn on the yard light because you can see good enough and I don't want to draw any more bugs than necessary.
When I first had her and she was so little, she didn't like the wet grass, either, even though I keep the fenced-in yard mowed very, very short! But she is now used to it and goes right out into it.
If this is your lawn, try mowing it shorter. If not, is she pad trained? You could try taking a pad out with you and putting it down for her.
