Tongue Thanks for the info

My thanks to everyone who responded - I checked out the website mentioned. Basically everything reinforced what I suspected, that there's no one answer and that every dog is different...I'm not sure what I will do for Sargie's diet when he finishes hs puppy food, but at least we have backup that there are people who are very careful and still choose to feed the commercial foods condemned by these sites...and their dogs are healthy. (I have to wonder, how many dogs are happy and healthy on supermarket food, with all the tons of it that are sold, but a majority of them are becoming ill and having their lives shortened by it? That doesn't make sense. And if it does, Bama's right - I hate to think what I'm consuming then! Sometimes I buy these organic Hormel white chicken breast meat pieces, pre-cooked, in a resealable bag, and keep them for Sargie - he only gets a bit at a time, so they last a while...but gotta tell ya, a few times I snacked on them - he was eating better than me!)

Since I have that small bag of Royal Canin to start glad to read that some dogs had problems with it, I will have to keep a watch now when I try it.

What is the Liquid Oral care? I have to start brushing Sargie's teeth and someone told me her poodle loves this CET toothpaste you can only buy online, and I tried a sample she gave me and Sargie took to it - but if there is something else that will work better and is easier I'd like to try that. My vet has something you paint on the teeth with a swab, which is supposed to eliminate brushing, but I haven't asked him about it yet.

Thanks again for all the feedback.
