Default Teeth Cleaning

So our little Lola went to the vet today and they suggested that she get her teeth cleaned soon. She is 2 1/2 years old. We have always been worried about putting her under again due to her size. She has had 2 major surgeries. The first, involved orthopedic surgery and the second was for her spay, microchipping, and tooth removal. The doctor said that he had to put her under for the teeth cleaning too.

Here is my dilemma, she is only 2 3/4 pounds and I worry about the anasthesia(sp). She has had no prior reactions, but I am still so worried. Has anyone experienced this with a dog Lola's size? Any advice would be appreciated.

By the way, I noticed on other threads about this, people gave a price range of $200-600 dollars. Are vet said it would be over $700. Crazy huh?
