It's almost xmas, right? Here I am whacking myself in the head trying to figure out how I am going to do any xmas shopping for anyone this year and pay bills and I have to take my car in to the garage - little service light came on 2 weeks ago and the battery died. I jump it and get it to the garage and they say about $75.00 to check the light and battery, then the cost of the battery. Not what I wanted to hear, but had to be done. I got the call, good news is there seems to be nothing wrong as far as the light - maybe a water bubble in the gas line. It was the O2 sensor and it is fine. Put in a new battery, ok, total is $217.41 (that better be a gold plated battery!). Now, the bad news - it needs another $1000.00 worth of work. 4 bald tires that'll cost me $760.50!!! Looks like I can be expecting some flat tires in the near future, cause those repairs are not anywhere in the forseeable future. Belts are cracked and needs oil change - of course. I can't complain since I haven't put any extra into it since 2004 when we got it, but Holy Cow! Why all this at xmas??? Guess I better get a third job
