Thanks for your replies. I took Corky (aka Beau Beau) to the vet this morning. She is pretty certain that it WAS a reaction to a chemical in the kennel cough SHOT. I know it can be administered through the nose and I'd requested that but the doctor had convinced me that the shot is better at getting all the vaccine in him as often the dogs sneeze out a lot of the vaccine. Corky does sneeze alot too. However, the doctor was concerned by the large size of the lump. She prescribed some antibiotic to help in case of any infection from the shot location, she took a sample of the lump (pretty much fat cells and a little puss). She wants to see him again Friday morning and if the lump isn't any smaller, plan an operation to remove it. I'm with you guys that if it isn't painful or obviously causing him a problem, maybe waiting around a month to see if it goes down on its own. What do you all think?
