I know this won't change anyone's mind but let me give my 2 cents worth on this.
I have always had 'tiny' Yorkies with an adult weight of 4 pounds or so. Yes, they are adorable, easy to travel with etc...but they are also fragile and it is nerve wracking sometimes. I just got my 2 Biewer girls and they will be bigger than my boyz which is fine but having all of them in the house together has made me reconsider my thoughts on size. My girls are heavier framed than my boys and I wouldn't worry about my Grandson playing with Megan and Maddie like I would Jo and Riley, I don't worry when they run and play and crash into things or leap on top of each other. With my boyz I worry about them jumping, getting stepped on or falling off of something...I don't think I'll worry like that with the girls simply because they are sturdier. Now, my girls aren't going to be giants by any means, they should end up between 6 and 8 pounds as adults. My husband plays with the girls like he never did with the boyz because he isn't afraid of hurting them, he's really enjoying them and we're both more comfortable with their size. Yes, I love my boyz...don't get me wrong...and I will always have Yorkies but I won't choose the smaller size again. If anyone is looking for a Biewer don't let the 10 pound size scare you away...these dogs are beautiful, their colors are striking and you can't really appreciate their coat until you feel it. Good luck finding homes for those little teapots Dee...they deserve it!
