8 pounds post puppies is not that big. However, you can't judge size based just on the size of the dam and sire, you have to consider the size further back within the lineage as well. 1 pound at 10 days does seem a bit on the larger size. It doesn't necessarily mean there is mixing somewhere down the line though...it could just mean that they are larger Yorkies. (Of course, a mix thrown in there is ALWAYS a possibility.) And yes, the coloring is normal.
I agree though that if you don't feel like you can completely trust the breeder, don't get the pup. |
