The only problem I have encounterd with the holes is they suck too hard and it comes out to fast then it is out the nose.We cut (my vet and I) a criss cross in the nipple and it was a little harder for them to suck or they had to work at it I guess.WE had a big litter of six last time with a section and no milk She did eventually get milk in but it took awhile.
One of the males in the litter who really really liked the bottle still sucks his mommas finger she thinks it is the cutest thing: HE would be 8 months now.
Poor Hanna the little momma dosent know what is going on bless her heart. She will adjust though just takes time, sad for us to watch but was the right thing for you to do for the pup.

Didn't have the problem...I used a very fine needle and spaced the holes far apart.
