I have a maltese female, yorkie female and a yorkie male. The male's personality is definately different than a female. It's nice to experience both. One thing to consider though - if you're going to leave his hair long, he will always be peeing on it. It really grosses me out when I pick him up and his hair is wet. The hair smells like urine. He needs a bath more often. I like mine to have long hair. To me that's what a yorkie IS. JMO.
