Testicles should be descended by 4 months (usually earlier) and neutering is a much simpler procedure than with undescended testicles which requires a more invasive surgery that has the possibility of being unsuccesful if the undescended can't be located. I never heard of a vet worried about a dog learning to lift a leg???What difference could that possibly make? Why would you want him to learn to mark? Optimal time for this surgery is around 6 months and facilitates the removal of retained baby teeth during the same procedure. Earlier and he may have to undergo a second anesthesia to have teeth done.
