Well . . . Carter is back at home and did well for his procedures. They neutered without stitches, extracted his four canine teeth, cleaned all his teeth (for no charge - he had a small amount of tartar on his two back teeth that I had been working on), and micro-chipped him. He's fully awake and not groggy. They gave me anti-inflammatory and pain meds to administer for the next 4 days.

At this point, I'm really pleased with his outcome and the performance of my vet and her team!

Forgot to add that he weighed in at 3.1# this morning (32 weeks). We first got him when he was 25 weeks old and weighed 2.2#. At 29 weeks, he weighed 2.6#.
