And a lot of older people lived on relatively fixed incomes so maybe a gift card to a popular restaurant; even if it doesn't pay for an entire meal for two (if it does, so much the better), at least it would defray the cost. Or maybe a membership to Costco or Sam's Club or AAA (the Automobile Assn) for a year.
