I sure hope your mother sat her down in her place! My Mom would have told that lady off.
I have 3 sons with 3 girlfriends. They are all so different, just like my sons. Don't have a favorite. My one is getting married May 2006. When they first was engaged over Christmas she was over here all the time & I helped her pick everything out - hall, photographer, cake, centerpieces, bouquets, wedding gown - I'm making the centerpieces, favors, & cookies - she called me her wedding planner. Haven't seen her in 3 months now. She just needed me to help her - I think she felt overwhelmed with it all.
I will always be there for her whenever she asks. I know once they are married I will never see my son. It's their loss. But I would never say anything rude. You can't make someone love you. But I will be there if they ever need me again.
