In my honest opinion I believe that when you make a decision to bring a pet, be it whatever, you should take all the pro's and con's into account. This is not a decision that should be taken lightly. When a couple decides to have children there are usually preparations before this happens so people should do the same when they decide to bring a pet into the family.
You are correct to say that they are not disposible. I would never consider to give up my Genie Girl no matter what, period...
Please be responsible when you bring a pet home and try your best to always care and love them. The love and loyalty they will give you is inmense, please do the same for them.
