We do the same thing.....I collect glass ornaments...and each year, my daughter and I go and get us each one!
We also spend every Christmas Eve at my parents house.....we watch movies, play games, bake cookies, have a wonderful dinner, etc. I love it because I love reliving my Christmas when I was growing up and this reminds me of it.....parents house, the wonderful smells, etc.
