Before we had a fence we just used a leash to walk Georgie. Sometimes though, he would want to spend more time outside and I would take his retractable leash and loop it around a patio chair. That way he could roam around or sun himself and I could watch from inside. If I'm doing something outside too, like hanging Christmas lights I can let him drag his retractable leash around. If he starts to run away the leash handle starts to bounce and "chase" him and he stops for me to rescue him. haha |
