Tagalog, Visayan, a bit of Spanish, a bit of Cantonese and English-- This is a regional thing in the Philippines. Tagalog is the national language. Since there are over 100 languages in my country, most Filipinos communicate in Tagalog and often times in English(We're the only Asian country who have English as an Academic Subject). I speak both fluently(Tagalog and Visayan and I pride myself for that even though I've been practicaly raised here). It's influenced with alot of the Spanish words since the country was under the colonization of Spain for 300 years. My husband is Chinese and he's been teaching me Cantonese. I think it's the hardest language to learn.
