Thanks everyone. Yes the cat is just temporary but has been here for two weeks... Layla has done a complete circle it seems.. at first she was very insecure.. then she started to kinda like him and now we are back to not liking him and being scared. I will put two bowls out... the cat does have his own bowl in the basement but doesn't tend to use it at all. Our basement is not finished however i have no problem putting the cat down there (i'm sad to say i don't like the cat because of what he is doing to Lay, she comes first and he is not making her happy) however he can't stay down there ALL day when we are home can he?? i like the squirt bottle idea... i'll have to go get one this weekend.
