My oldest was born on Dec 27th after being in labor most of the day and all night on the 26th. The only bad thing about having a birthday that close to Christmas is she feels jipped most years. She's going to be

this year. I think she forgets how much we do for her birthday because it's all kind of wrapped up around christmas. I make a major effort to have the christmas tree put away and do something really "un-christmas" like a Luau birthday party (we did that at least 3 times). We had 20 little girls over when she was 10, let them wear their bikinis under their clothes (snow on the ground outside!) and turn the heat up in the house, dance around in swimsuits, and drink little fruity drinks with umbrella's and little finger foods. They loved it!
