A gentle mist from a shine product made for human hair works well and I only use gel on the topknot area. I find that a clean, well conditioned coat that has been flat ironed flows the best. By the time you find what works for you you'll have a major collection of grooming products. Just make sure you try them out in advance and not the day of the show.
I thought I would try the swishy coat because it said it would flatten the full, wavy coat and that is what she has right now with the dreaded puppy coat. She looks like a bear. it is too short for the iron to do much good and even after trying the iron, we still have a wave on the ends. Someone put the protein balm on her at the show. They straightened my part out and put it on the sides of the part to hold it. looked nice. Right now, I am having a terrible time with her coat. it matts so easy underneath. I am kind of desperate. Thanks for answering. What kind of mist do you use?
