If a human goes into the ER with tummy pain, the first thing we do (at least in my neck of the woods) is take a couple x-rays of the abdomen area. Constipation can easily be (and usually is) the cause of stomach pain. On our board in the ER where I worked, we're write F O S (full of s*it) as an entrance diagnosis. Was quite funny, til you got to the part where it was so bad they'd need to be depacted......
