To start out with I'd give him a treat every time he goes in there to associate the crate with good things. i'd also leave a crate toy in there so he feels he's not in detention. When i leave for work i tell morgan to go to her kennel and she runs in there with no problems. There are three toys in it. Sometimes i give her treats, some times i do not. SHe is in an ex-pen tho and not a crate but when she was a baby i had her in a crate with one toy.
