I'd take it to a dry cleaner and ask them if they can clean it safely, and hopefully remove the pen. If worse comes to worse (and it's ruined anyway if it cannot be cleaned professionally) you can always try the OxyClean stain spray stuff, it took ink out of my DH's shirt that had been through the dryer

Then handwash or use the machine's handwash cycle, with Woolite. Hang to dry, then spray with waterproofing spray (like you get for sneakers). I do this with my white Coach bag, it was SO grimy, but it looks new after I wash and treat it. The leather on the ends where the metal loops for the handle go through look a little worn, but that's bound to happen anyway. Like I said, if it's ruined anyway and there's no hope, might as well try washing it
