Hi welcome to YT!

What i would suggest with him is starting from scratch. Treat him as if he was a puppy that you want to house break. Try crating him when you are not home, at night, and even when you cannot watch him. Hopefully he will not go in his crate. As soon as you come home or wake up in the AM take him outside to potty. If he hasn't gone in his crate he will have to go. Put him on a leash, take him out, and tell him to go potty. Do not go back inside until he does. If your out there for a long time and he still hasn't gone, take him back inside and put him back in teh crate. Then 5 minutes later take him directly outside again and repeat. This will take time since he is older but it will work if you stick to it.

Another thing you can try is to put a belly band on him to prevent him from marking in the house.
