I started working for a vet a few hours a week after school when I turned 14. i worked for him all four years of high school. Vet experience (volunteering and working with vets) is really important to have when applying. The more hours you can claim, the better it looks. |
Oh, I agree. That's why I want her to get started this summer (she'll be 14 then). This is our vet that we've had since our toy poodle so we've been going to him for 18 years. He is such a sweetheart and cared so much when we had to put Dax down after 15 years. He's also very well known in this area - very involved with many things - so I know that a recommendation letter from him would mean a lot.
