Yeah, we do a lot with cadavers or first year in anatomy...dissections of dogs and cats in the fall and horses and I think a goat in the spring. Gotta learn what normal anatomy is before you can recognize abnormal stuff. I'm looking forward to surgeries my third year though.
They do cram it in. A lot of it overlaps and you hear basic things and use basic things over and over so you remember it. Everything starts building on the basic stuff. I don't think I'll remember everything from every class though that's for sure. But a lot of the remembering should just come with using that knowledge regularly
