I am so sorry! I didn't realize you had asked me this until now! Koda was almost 4 mos old when he broke his growth plate. He humped off the edge of our front porch, which wasn't very high. he had done this several times before, but just landed wrong this time We had to keep a "cast" on at all times for 6 weeks. It wasn't a hard cast, it looks like Reese has the same soft cast. We were able to keep it splinted/casted for about 5 1/2 weeks then he would not leave it alone. He has no problems running and acting like the monkey he is now. Though I do notice after a lot of playing or on bad weather days, he will favor that leg. The doc said when he gets older he will most likely have some arthritis in that leg.
I am wondering how Reese is doing? How did the surgery go today? Any news?
Come on sweet Reese you can do this! We are all rooting for your safe and minimal pain recovery! Remember Reese, when you get better you get to go back to your loving home. That little girl is going to have the best Christmas present she could ever dream of
