I was wondering the same thing... I live in southern Indiana and it's definitely cold here, I'm sure it's cold in Chicago and will be freezing by the 20th. You may want to check this out again. If the puppy is shipped I would include a very warm blanket for him to snuggle into and the nutrical that others had suggested is a good idea.good luck.
