Yes, her age is a big factor. I had to do the constant vigiliance with Millie for over 4 mos. Yes it was stressful and tiring, but I never let up!! and yes finally she understood what was expected of her and after that it was training her to ask to go out (because that's a whole different lesson) So about 6 months later she had it down pat! But it took that long of not giving up, day after day of vigiliance. I kept telling myself that I was sacrificing a small portion of my life and Millie's life so that I (we) could enjoy each other for the rest of it. And I can say she is 100% fully housebroken. So in the end I have to say it was worth it, but it was exhausting during the process.

So just keep up how you are doing and eventually there will be a happy ending to it.
