Just for that very reason, I went out and bought those large pillows that are made to sit on, they're about 2.5 x 2.5 feet. I have several, and they go alllll around the bed so that not one inch of hardwood floor is exposed for a two and half foot perimeter around my bed..LOL.
Widdy does the same thing, sometimes he wants to sleep with us, sometimes he wants his own puff ball bed on the floor.
