Thanks for your reply Anna. The UK laws are a bit confusing to me. They state that all dogs in a public place must wear a collar and identity tag. I am just wondering if an identity tag attatched to the harness will suffice. We have Jamie (jack x beagle) who wears a collar at all times.
The problem is I live in a small village and some residents have been complaining about dogs fouling in public places where children play, which I fully agree with should not happen. However this means there is a "doggy watch" going on and I would hate to be in trouble should alfie not be all "legal" for when he does start to go out.
Ohh just a thought, maybe it will be worth contacting the RSPCA and getting their views on the matter. |
